SEBI vide Circular no. CFD/DCR/CIR/2016/139 on Wednesday, 21st December, 2016 based on circular dt 01.12.2015 which had introduced the system-driven disclosures in securities market detailing the procedure to be adopted for its implementation with effect from 01.01.2016 which laid down that Depositories shall provide daily trade data of promoter/promoter group to RTA & for disclosure to public, RTA shall disseminate such information to stock exchanges.
Thus, to streamline the procedure & to protect the interest of investors, it has now been decided that depositories shall provide the transaction data of promoters/promoter group on a daily basis directly to the stock exchanges for dissemination of the necessary disclosures.
Further, Depositories and Stock Exchanges are advised to make necessary arrangements for the same so that dissemination may be effected on their websites from January 02, 2017.
