MCA vide Notification No. G.S.R. 178(E) on Tuesday, 28^th February, 2017, has notified the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Amendment Rules, 2017 which shall come into force from 28^th February, 2017.

Vide said notification Rule 2(1)(d), Rule 3 (2)(g), Rule 6, Rule 7 and Forms IEPF-3, IEPF-5 & IEPF-6 has been amended.

It has also been stated that in case any amount remains unpaid or unclaimed in Unpaid Dividend Account of the Company for the period of 7 years, and the same has been completed or being completed during the period from 7^th September, 2016 to 31^st May, 2017, then the due date for transfer of such shares to Investor Education and Protection Fund shall be deemed to be 31^st May, 2017.
