MCA vide Notification No- G.S.R. 571 (E) on Wednesday, 14th August, 2019 has issued Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Second Amendment Rules, 2019 to amend the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016 wherein; various amendments have been made in the following rules:
- rule 2 – Definitions ,
- rule 3 – Fund,
- rule 5 – Statement to be furnished to the fund,
- rule 6 – Manner of transfer of shares under sub-section (6) of section 124 to the Fund,
- rule 7 – Refund to claimants from Fund,
- rule 8 – Power to direct payment of amount due to the Fund;
- after Schedule I, the Schedule II, III and IV shall be inserted and;
- Forms IEPF-1, IEPF-2, IEPF-4 and IEPF-5 shall be substituted.
