MCA vide Notification No. G.S.R._(E) on Monday, 3^rd December, 2018 has issued the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Amendment Rules, 2018, to amend the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, 2014 (Principal Rules) wherein; there are some additions and substitutions in Table given therein under the heading (B) Non-Regulated Sectors in Rule 3 of the Principal Rules.

Further a new proviso is inserted in Rule 6(6) of the Principal Rules to allow the Companies which have got exemption to hold AGM u/s 96(1) of Companies Act, 2013 to file form CRA-4 within such extended period of filing financial Statements u/s 137 of Companies Act, 2013.

Vide Amendment Rules, Paragraph no. 31: Unit of Measurement (UOM) is inserted in Form CRA-1 and in Note (3) is added in Form CRA-3 to clarify that the Unit of Measurement (UOM) for each Customs Tariff Act Heading, wherever applicable, shall be the same as provided for in the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) corresponding to that particular Customs Tariff Act Heading.
