The Government has set up a High Level Committee to examine the monitoring of Corporate Social Requirements.
The said committee after deliberate review and discussion came out with various recommendation on monitoring the CSR Compliances.
The committee recommended a review of the provisions after 3 years and asked for an increase in ceiling on administrative overheads from 5% at present to not more than 10% It further suggested a uniform tax treatment for all CSR activities under the new Companies Act.
