MCA vide Notification No. G.S.R. 454(E) on Thursday, 11th May, 2017 notified Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Amendment Rules, 2017 which shall come into force from the date of publication in Official Gazette.
Vide said notification following Rules have been amended:
- Rule 2(1)(c)(xviii): the words “Infrastructure Investment Trusts” has been included in the exclusion list of definition of deposit.
- Proviso to Rule 5(1): proviso has been substituted by which time limit for accepting deposits without deposit insurance contract has been extended till 31st March, 2018.
