Reserve bank of India vide FED Master direction no. 11/2017-18 dated 04th January, 2018 issued Master Direction on Foreign Direct Investment in India. –
RBI on Thursday, 04th January, 2018 have issued Master Direction on Foreign Direct Investment in India vide FED Master direction no. 11/2017-18.
Foreign Investment in India is regulated by the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA) read with Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of a Security by a Person resident Outside India) Regulations, 2017, as amended from time to time.
This Master Direction lays down the modalities as to how the foreign exchange business has to be conducted by the Authorised Persons with their customers/ constituents with a view to implementing the regulations framed.
